Walk Therapy
Walk therapy combines traditional talk therapy with walking outdoors, and has numerous added benefits:
- Provides a less intimidating environment.
- Encourages rapport between therapist and client.
- Decreases depressive and anxiety symptoms.
- Increases empowerment.
- Enhances one’s ability to cope and deal with stress.
- Promotes healthy sleeping patterns.
- Boosts energy.
- Promotes overall health and wellness through weight loss, improved circulation, lower cholesterol, and reduced stress hormone (cortisol) levels.
Walking will be set at your pace. This workout is not strenuous. However, like all exercise programs, individuals should consult with a physician beforehand.
